Deck Overview: Looking for a deck to make your opponent cry? A deck that will make your opponent quit PTCGO? Then I have the deck for you! Durant is an amazing card which can make your opponent discard up to four cards a turn! During the early game Emolga’s attack “Call for Family” allows you to search your deck for two pokémon and put them on your bench. Emolga also is the only pokémon with “Call for Family” that has free retreat. Another great pokémon for this deck is Mime Jr. which allows you to mill your opponent by sending cards to the Lost Zone rather than their discard pile! In this deck, you will never take prizes which gives you access to cards like Counter Catcher and Twins. Since all the pokémon in this deck are basic, Nest Ball is a perfect card for getting them, Level Ball can also be considered.
Crushing Hammer helps you in the long game slowing down your opponent’s ability to attack Durant. When your opponent is finally able to attack cards like Metal Energy (your metal pokémon take 10 less damage), Eviolite ( take 20 less damage), and Defender (take 10 less damage this turn) make it impossible to kill your Ants! If at any point one of your ants get close to getting KO’ed you can to heal off damage with Max Potion. The card Energy Exchanger allows you to trade a regular Metal Energy in your hand for a special Metal Energy to help your ants survive. Once your opponent has taken a KO, Twins allows you to be able to get any two cards from your deck! You also have access to Gladeon which can get a Durant out of the prizes if one happens to get prized. This is a cheap deck that can win a good amount of games in pauper and is extremely fun to play!
